God of War III: More Fun, More Brutal, More Nasty

"This is a long road ahead. It's nice to be at the finish line."

So says Stig Asmussen, developers who had just finished doing the final touches on the game touted as the most anticipated games of 2010: God of War III.

Game will be released on March 16 for the Sony Playstation 3. This is the result of nine years of hard work and creative team Asmussen Sony for God of War series.

Usually games that have a high-profile, can not always meet expectations, but the initial reports about the God of War 3 - where players fight against the gods in Greek mythology - is remarkable.

"God of War III is expected to be the most bombastic action games in history" video game critic said Scott Steinberg, who is the author of Get Rich Playing Games. "Demo of this game is phenomenal" he said.

Description of this game on the Playstation site promises "the level of violence is much higher". Of course, it includes scenes and poses nude scenes from some of the characters in this game. Hollywood even planning to make a movie adaptation of God of War series which according to the Sony, has sold 8.7 million copies worldwide (including pirated in Indonesia?).

God of War series debuted in 2005, tells of a Spartan warrior named Kratos who pursue revenge against Ares, Zeus and other Greek gods are deemed to have made a mistake against him. God of War II, was released in 2007 ended with the Titans, the legendary support of the struggle of Kratos.

The popularity of both the previous God of War games, plus information that the God of War III is a final series of the show, make it boom among gamers. At Spike Video Game Awards last year, God of War III getting a degree as the most anticipated games of 2010.

Observers have even wondered if God of War III can beat the game's best-selling Playstation 3, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, who sold more than 1.7 million units in just one week after its release in 2008.

Asmussen said that in fact there are no plans to make a trilogy of this game but realized a golden opportunity after the first God of War who was awarded Game of Show at E3 Gaming Conference. They then quickly made sequel to the God of War II.

Asmussen believes that the ability of the PlayStation 3 system provides the opportunity for his team to bring this game to a level much higher. He gave examples of scenes where Kratos must fight against the enemy forces while climbing a Titan which required him to climb the mountain edge. That is something that could not be done on the Playstation 2, he said.
